HOA Annual Meeting

This year your HOA Annual Meeting will be held in the fellowship hall at Augustana
Lutheran Church, 5000 E. Alameda Avenue on Monday, December 5, 2011.  The
entrance to the fellowship hall is on Fairfax Street.  A dinner buffet will be served from
6:00 to 7:00. The menu will feature Beef Bordeaux on Noodles and a Nappa Salad.  The
annual meeting will follow at 7:00. This is another great opportunity to meet and greet
your neighbors; hear succinct reports from your directors and manager; ask questions or
make statements of community interest or concern; vote (homeowners only); or just
homeowners (two persons per townhome).

If you plan on attending the dinner buffet portion
of the meeting, please RSVP by December 1 to:

SUSMAN  UNLEASHED
by Steve Susman

Pole dancing was demonstrated by Demi Moore in a movie a few years ago.  You are
free to emulate those gyrations in our own Pelican Pointe picnic area.  Sonny and his
assistant recently repainted all the large black supporting poles there, as well as the
horizontal members to which the vinyl canopies are fastened.  This sounds like a simple
project, but the horizontal supports are comprised of grille-work; painting them is
tedious.  Plus, they used oil-base paint for its longevity, a substance very difficult to work
with.  That area is handsome once again.  But don't try your dancing steps without your
chiropractor on call.

"Beam me up, Scotty."   Your Board will soon be reviewing proposals for upgrading the
lighting at our entrance.  In particular, the three flag poles merit bright beams to
illuminate their scope and the colorful flags atop them.  And our two curved tile walls
require lights to disclose our address and name.  Presently, all these lights are
insufficient, consisting of aged and undependable fixtures.  Maintaining and improving
our physical facilities are ongoing goals of our Board and management.  Judicious
application of our reserves enables these projects to be realized.  The appearance of our
community, and our buildings' values, are thus preserved and enhanced.
